Frequently asked questions
The questions our dispatchers answer most often.
- How much does a service call cost?
- $89 during regular hours, $189 after hours. Waived if you approve the repair.
- How soon can someone come out?
- Same day for most calls placed before 2 PM. If your system is completely down, usually within four hours.
- Can you tell me what is wrong over the phone?
- Not reliably. A technician has to test the system. We can tell you which quick checks to try first so you might avoid a visit.
- Can you give me a repair price over the phone?
- We can give a typical range for common repairs (see the Repair page). The exact flat-rate price is quoted on site before work begins.
- How much is a new furnace or AC?
- Furnace $4,200 to $8,200 installed. AC $5,400 to $12,000. Both together $9,800 to $17,500. Free in-home estimate for an exact quote.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes. 0 percent for 18 months or long-term financing from 7.99 percent APR on approved credit.
- Do you charge extra on weekends?
- Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM is regular pricing. Sunday and holidays are after-hours pricing ($189 diagnostic).
- Do you work on my brand?
- We repair every residential brand. We install Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Daikin and Mitsubishi.
- Is my repair under warranty?
- Repairs we did within the last year: yes, parts and labor. Equipment warranties depend on the manufacturer and whether it was registered; have your model and serial number ready and we will check.
- Do you service my area?
- We cover Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Jackson, Clay and Platte counties. See the Service Area page for the full list.
- Where is my technician? When will they arrive?
- You receive a text when the technician is on the way. If you have not received one within your arrival window, call and the dispatcher will check.
- What is the maintenance plan?
- Comfort Club: $189 per year, two tune-ups, priority service, no after-hours fees, 15 percent off repairs.
- My AC is running but not cooling. What should I do?
- Check the filter and look for ice on the copper line or indoor coil. If iced, turn the system off and the fan on for two hours, then call.
- My furnace keeps turning on and off.
- Short cycling is often a dirty filter, a dirty flame sensor, or a failing limit switch. Replace the filter first. If it continues, book a service call.
- Do you install thermostats I bought myself?
- Yes. $150 labor for a customer-supplied thermostat. We cannot warranty the thermostat itself.
- Do you do duct cleaning?
- No. We can recommend a duct cleaning company. We do install and repair ductwork.
- Do you offer rebates?
- Yes. Evergy rebates and federal tax credits apply to qualifying systems. We file the utility rebate for you.
- Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
- Employees. All NATE certified, drug tested, and background checked.
- Do I need to be home?
- An adult 18 or older must be present for the whole visit.
- How do I pay?
- Cash, check, all major credit cards, and financing. Payment is due when the work is complete.
